Romantic Georgetown Engagement Session

Brittany and Brandon’s Georgetown engagement session was definitely one for the books! This summer session was a great way to ease back into shooting after I had been out of the office for awhile. We met up with Brittany and Brandon in DC for their romantic engagement session – and we had a blast! These two are so easy to be around and it’s clear how much they absolutely love each other. Brandon kept Brittany laughing throughout our session, which always makes gorgeous portraits!

We started the session off at the Georgetown Canal, which is a beautiful place to kick off any session! Brittany and Brandon decided to start the session with their classic dressy outfits. I love the way Brittany’s off the shoulder dress popped against the green of the canal. It was such a great choice! After we finished up along the canal, it was time for an outfit change and they moved to the waterfront. Brandon had an amazing coral jacket that popped against Brittany’s navy jumpsuit! Brittany and Brandon definitely have such great fashion sense!!

A Tip for Your Session

No matter where you choose to have your session, it’s important to think about what outfits you want to wear. I always encourage at least one “dressier” outfit and a more casual outfit, if that’s your thing. Decide on colors that will pop against the locations you choose and try to avoid super busy patterns. The focus of your photos should be on you and your love story – not the outfits you choose.
