There’s something special about couples that have been together for years! Kaitlin and Maxwell are no exception. They’ve known each other since kindergarten but their love story really began after they went to college on almost opposite ends of the east coast (Delaware and Florida!).  While Maxwell was deployed, the two took a trip to Bali where Maxwell proposed to Kaitlin after a romantic dinner! Now, these sweethearts are planning a summer wedding at the gorgeous Army Navy Club!

Their engagement session took place in Northern Virginia – a chance to capture the history of their love story (we stopped at their elementary school for a few portraits!) to the history of the area by capturing a few portraits at Mount Vernon. Getting to explore a local park was a great way to wrap up their fun engagement session – and we popped some bubbly to celebrate! I love getting to capture such genuine and fun moments for my couples during their engagement session. Your engagement portraits should be natural and really tell the story of who you two are when you’re together!
