Belle Island Engagement Session

Alex and Aidan are so special to me! Alex is actually one of my incredibly talented LCS photographers, so I was extremely thrilled when she asked me to photograph her engagement and wedding! She is absolutely one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and her fiance, Aidan, is too! He was such a gentleman to her during our entire session!! When it came time to think about her engagement session, it was easy to decide on a Belle Island engagement session for these lovebirds. Their May 2020 wedding is quickly approaching and so we met up to capture these portraits to celebrate earlier this summer!!

Belle Island State Park is absolutely beautiful and even though it was hot – we had a great time wandering around and capturing these portraits for Alex and Aidan. They were totally naturals in front of the camera (no surprise!). I love coming down to Belle Island for engagement sessions – there’s so many beautiful options available for our portraits. There’s the pedestrian bridge, the riverfront, the pathways…. plenty of absolutely gorgeous locations for portraits!

We started Alex and Aidan’s session on the pedestrian bridge before taking things down to the Rappahannock River. Alex and Aidan chose beautiful summery outfits for their portraits and I think they look perfect!! The two kept it simple and it really worked-  engagement session outfits don’t have to be crazy dramatic to create beautiful images. Plus they stayed cool in the heat!

Alex and Aidan, congratulations! I cannot wait for your May wedding, loves! I know it’s going to be as fantastic as you both are and I cannot wait to celebrate with you in Baltimore!! Enjoy some of my favorite portraits from your session!
