Kathryn and Joe’s St. Francis Hall wedding was absolutely stunning! And you all know how much I love Kathryn and Joe – they’re some of my all time favorite people so their wedding day was really special to me (and my team!). These two planned a classic wedding day full of elegant gold and teal touches.

After getting ready in the hotel, we snapped a few photos of the bridesmaids looking over the city – I don’t know why but I always love those photos! Then it was time for Kathryn and Joe to have their first look. They were SO happy to get to see each other and take in the fact that they were getting married. We had such a beautiful venue to capture their portraits. In fact, we felt a little bit spoiled!! Throughout the ceremony and reception at St. Francis Hall, our team really lucked out with the amazing space around us. It made capturing all of the beautifully classic details Kathryn and Joe planned even easier. One of the most fun parts of the day was definitely their reception! The two decided not to have a cake but had an ice cream sundae bar instead. And a taco truck! I mean, seriously?! How can you not love it?!

A quick shoutout…

If I’m being totally honest, this wedding day was special to me but also incredibly hard. I would be a mess if I didn’t mention how lucky I am to have an amazing team in place to handle days like this. While I was photographing Kathryn and Joe’s beautiful details, I got the call that my mom had passed away. Immediately, I had Nate call my girl Sara who made it over to us so she could take over from me! This amazing lady stepped in and I knew I could go be with my family to deal with everything that was happening. She absolutely rocked capturing this day!! With the help of Alex and Pam second shooting for Nate, the entire wedding day was covered. Although I was sad to miss the big moments of the day with Kathryn and Joe, I am still incredibly thankful that I have such an amazing team to rely on. And – that I have such special clients to understand that life happens – and they could still trust me to make sure their day was documented to our high standards. This job and my business only exist because of clients like Kathryn and Joe. Congratulations again you two, and thank you for being you!
