Washington DC Engagement Session

This gorgeous Washington DC engagement session is super special to me because Christopher is my brother and Kristan is basically my sister! These two live in State College, PA so we don’t see them nearly as often as we’d like but we were thrilled when they came down to DC for their engagement session. Christopher and Kristan have been together for a long time – I basically already call her my sister but we’re excited they’re about to make everything official!! All engagement sessions are special to me but being able to photograph my brother and his amazing fiancé just made everything better. Every once in awhile this job gives me an extra incredible moment – and this was definitely one of them.

Classy Washington DC Engagement Session

If there’s one thing I love about these two, it’s their fashion sense! We started the session in the heart of DC around the Capitol Building and these two stole the show with their incredible outfits. Kristan wore a gorgeous blush dress – so you know I was thrilled!! Christopher paired a light grey suit to compliment her gown and it was perfect! We were able to enjoy the quiet of DC while we kicked off their session. While we posed and danced our way through the Capitol Building, we had a great time laughing and celebrating the two of them! I love that they decided on a classy and casual look for the session. Two outfits always provides such great variety!

While I worked on a few ring shots of the two of them, Kristan and Christopher changed into a more casual outfit to finish up the session. I absolutely love the matching shirts they had made! How sweet are those?! We relaxed into the rest of the session and enjoyed watching these two lovebirds cuddle up and laugh. I can’t express enough how happy I am that they’re so happy together. Thank you for letting me be a small part of this exciting time for you two! We can’t wait to celebrate with you next June!
